I am beyond thrilled to announce that my new album, USURPER, is set to drop on May 3, 2025! This project marks a significant milestone in my artistic journey, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

The creation of USURPER has been nothing short of life-changing. I flew out to Virginia from Los Angeles to lock down the studio with the incredibly talented Tory G (shout out, mix god!) for three intense days.

When I tell you… I've never worked so hard in my life! 🙃 🫠

The energy in the studio was electric, and we poured our hearts and souls into every track. But the magic didn’t stop there. My sister, the phenomenal international DJ Symønne, flew in to join us straight from her own single release party in Orlando. Having her there was a surreal experience; it felt like a family reunion infused with creativity and passion. I was born again. 

This album is a complete departure from my last EP, grl, bye. While that project has a special place in my heart, it was a collection of vibes and sounds mostly rooted in hip-hop and rnb – USURPER is my first full-length LP featuring 12 diverse tracks that span multiple genres and moods. 

I wrote USURPER after experiencing the loss of a friend last year and needed to unpack that trauma, that heartbreak, that anger, those demons – I think of it more as an “audio diary” than a collection of songs, that takes you from love and vulnerability to rage and all the places in between… I wanted to push boundaries and explore new musical landscapes, and I believe we’ve accomplished that. 

What I feel truly sets USURPER apart is its deep exploration of personal themes. It delves into the journey of rediscovery and self-reflection, addressing experiences that – i hope – many can relate to. This is some of the most honest music I’ve ever written, and while that honesty is exhilarating, it’s also a bit nerve-wracking. I’ve poured my vulnerabilities into these songs, and I hope they resonate with your own journeys.

I am sooooooo excited about this project and can’t wait for you to hear it. USURPER is more than just an album to me; it’s a testament to growth, resilience, and the power of creating music to heal and inspire. The album features production from Blonko Beats, Matias Veloso, and of course the return of Grand Keyzz – who y'all will remember from our previous work together. When I say everybody involved in this project did the damn thang, I mean that shit. So mark your calendars for May 3, 2025, and join us on this transformative journey.
